EMC² - Asia and Europe

EMC² is a Boston area-based leading global manufacturer and distributor of secure information storage infrastructures. EMC² implemented PeopleSoft 5.0 in 1995.

Challenge

EMC² was growing rapidly, primarily through acquisitions and had minimal technical resources to support enhancements and development of their PeopleSoft application. In addition, they had a corporate mandate to distribute the application globally in order to meet business requirements.

Solution

EMC² requested that DuMonde Solutions provide project management and consulting services to upgrade their domestic PeopleSoft application from release 6.0 to 7.5 while addressing the full implementation of PeopleSoft in 28 countries throughout Europe and Asia. Consulting services included:

• Upgraded PeopleSoft from version 6.0 to 7.5
• Performed upgrade from two to three tier architecture
• Designed and implemented online enhancements and custom development to meet global recruiting business requirements
• Provided guidance and developed scripts to assist EMC²'s technical infrastructure team in the desktop configuration of the PeopleSoft application
• Developed and delivered end-user training in Hong Kong to support Asia businesses and Paris to support European businesses
• Conversed with European resources and users in their native languages
